If you feel that you are not able to keep yourself safe or are concerned that you may be an immediate risk to yourself, speak to the people you trust, whether that’s family, friends, or teachers to get support.
Remember the strong emotions you are feeling may pass. If you require urgent support, you can seek help through Bolton’s 24.7 Mental Health Crisis Line by calling 0800 953 0285 for free. You could also speak to a health care professional such as your own GP, Pharmacist, School Nurse, calling 111, or in emergencies only, your local hospital department.
If you are a young person who is already getting help from local mental health services, you can follow your agreed care plan or speak to the person who cares for you at the service.

Getting risk support for people with a learning disability and / or autism
If you or your child have a learning disability and / or autism, and have significant mental health needs, there is support available. Each local area should hold a Dynamic Support Register (DSR) to help those who are at risk of being admitted to a mental health hospital, or those who are at risk of their placement breaking down.
This register aims to ensure that you or your child is receiving the right care, education, and treatment in their local community whenever possible, by working with you, your child, and those who care for them.
The register is about checking whether changes can be made to their care, education and / or treatment in a timely manner, to ensure we can be responsive to their needs and bring in additional services and / or resources to help. It will be kept and maintained by NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Bolton Locality Team.
Information from the register is shared with other health and social care teams who provide their care now or may do so in the future.
The register will contain information about your child on the following:
• the care and treatment they are receiving
• their health needs
• any health and care plans that have been developed
• their plans for the future
• information relating to what works well and what doesn’t work well for your child
If you do not consent for your child to join the register, this will not affect the care and treatment they currently receive.
There are national guidelines to support this.
We would like your input
We are working on making sure the principles in this policy are fulfilled. The policy asks that local areas to co-produce a self-referral route to the register.
We are working on this at the moment and if you wish to take part, please email
gmicb-bol.dco.sendbolton@nhs.net
In the meantime, if you think you or your child should be on the Dynamic Support Register please speak to your lead professional about your concerns.
