Short Breaks and shared care
All local authorities must have a Disabled Children's Register (DCR), otherwise known as 'The Record'. It is a register of families with children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) aged 0 to 25 years. Our aim is that disabled children, young people and their families have the support they need to be fully participating members of the Bolton family. Short breaks provide a specialist service which aims to support disabled children and their families, over and above those opportunities available to all families. We recruit enthusiastic, caring people who enjoy children’s company and who can make a regular commitment to spend time with a child who has a physical and/or learning disability.Short breaks
