Working with children - becoming self employed

Starting career in early years and child care

We work in partnership with the Start Well Service  who support the early years workforce and other professionals to ensure the best possible start in life for every child.

Are you are new to early years and childcare or would you like to be part of something big in Bolton by working with small children?

Working in early years and childcare is a unique and rewarding role as it’s all about helping babies and young children get the best possible start in life; watching them grow, learn, and flourish. Whether your interest is working in a nursery, a before and after school club, or become a childminder, you could make a big difference to our little people’s lives!

To find out more about how you can make a difference as an early years educator or childminder, visit Do Something Big: Work with Young Children.

You can find out more about introductory early years training opportunities (and early years career progression) at Early Years » Bolton College or take a look at the ‘Bolton College: Early Years Progression Pathway’ flyer.

To find Bolton early years job vacancies, visit DWP: Find a Job: Early Years.
