In Bolton we have a number of programmes to support people of all ages to eat healthily.

Rainbow World

Fun family food and activity sessions - families with 0 to 5 year olds.

Baby’s First Foods sessions

One-off two hour sessions for families with new babies.

Cook4life courses

Ten week cooking courses tailored to adults who care for children aged 0 to 5 years old.

Happy Healthy Toddler Club courses

Free eight week course with 1 to 4 year old children to support them with eating well and getting active. This can be especially useful for families that are worried about their children’s weight or fussy eating.

Food for Life courses

The free eight week programme is designed to

  • help residents improve their cookery skills
  • learn more about healthy eating from a Community Nutrition Worker
  • get physically active
  • reduce spend on weekly food shopping

To find out more or get involved with the next term either phone us on 01204 333612; email bolton.markets@bolton.gov.uk or come and talk to Joan in the Food Hall and sample what the class has been cooking that week. The course runs most Tuesdays and Thursdays.
