Which items can be recycled in the burgundy bin?
Please rinse your items before you put them in the bin.
- Plastic pots (e.g. yoghurt, soup, cosmetics etc)
- Plastic tubs (e.g. margarine, laundry powder, chocolates etc)
- Plastic trays including black plastic trays (e.g. raw and cooked meat, fruit and veg punnets etc)
- Plastic bottles (e.g. milk, pop, bleach, cleaning products, trigger sprays, shampoo)
- Glass bottles and jars (no lids)
- Food tins and drinks cans
- Aerosols
- Foil
We will not empty burgundy bins that contain the following
- Crisp packets
- Plastic film
- Plastic bags
- Pet food pouches
In addition to the items listed, we will not empty burgundy bins that contain rubbish and recycling meant for other bin types.

What happens to my recycling?
