Bolton Council is out collecting grey bins which were missed last week due to the extreme weather.
Residents should put out their grey bin for collection this week on their usual collection day.
All grey bins which were missed on Tuesday, February 27 and Wednesday, February 28 should have been emptied by the end of today (Wednesday).
Food and garden waste collections scheduled to take place tomorrow (Thursday, March 8) have been cancelled. This is to enable the council to catch up on grey bin collections, which were suspended on March 1.
Beige and burgundy bins collections will still take place as usual tomorrow.
A council spokesman said: “We would like to thank residents for bearing with us and understanding the difficulties we faced last week due to the snow and ice.
“Last Thursday was a particularly difficult day when we had to suspend collections due to the severe weather.
“We understand food and garden waste collections not taking place tomorrow is not ideal but we want to ensure that all our resources are being used to collect all the missed grey bins.
“We would like to thank residents for their continued patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Any recycling bins, green bins or food waste containers which were missed last week will be emptied on the next scheduled recycling collection.
Collection will return to business as usual next week.
