Cllr Adele Warren, Executive Cabinet Member for Environmental Services Delivery, said: “Our waste and recycling teams work in all weathers all year round and they continued to provide this essential service throughout the pandemic.
“This has been a challenging year and I would personally like to thank them for their work in maintaining waste and recycling services.”
Glyn Wakley, a domestic waste driver with 25 years’ service for the council, added: “When we went into lockdown, we had to deal with much more waste and deliver the service in line with a range of additional Covid-19 safety measures.
“It’s good to know we’ve played our part in supporting Bolton’s residents throughout the pandemic.”
