The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Hilary Fairclough, has spoken about this year’s 75th Anniversary of VE Day

In this video she pays tribute  to the men and women who sacrificed their lives and served during the conflict whether in the armed forces or on the home front.

Council leader Cllr David Greenhalgh has encouraged people to help turn the borough red, white and blue.

He said: “We may be in lockdown, but we are a proud and patriotic nation, so let’s mark this great day by turning our borough red, white and blue.
