A £485,000 scheme to resurface Radcliffe Road will begin on Monday, April 10.
The improvement work is part of the council’s borough-wide road maintenance programme.
Radcliffe Road will be resurfaced from The Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre to Woodside Place.
The whole scheme is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete subject to weather conditions.
During the works temporary traffic signals and lane closures will be in place at certain times to enable the work to be carried out safely.
Residents and businesses will still be able to access their properties during the work.
Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member for Environmental Services, Cllr Nick Peel, said: “Radcliffe Road is a key road in need of major improvement.
“Every effort will be made to minimise disruption, and I would like to thank residents, motorists and businesses for their patience and co-operation, and apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.”
