Bolton Council wants residents to have their say on the borough’s electoral polling districts and polling stations.

For voting purposes, Bolton’s 20 council wards are divided into polling districts - each with its own polling station.

The council reviews these districts regularly to make sure polling stations are fit for purpose and in the right place to meet the needs of the community.

This next review will also factor in the upcoming changes to ward boundaries.

Earlier this year, the Local Government Boundary Commission made its final recommendations for a new ward map for Bolton which will be used from next year’s election.

An interactive map showing old and new ward boundaries can be viewed in the commission’s website.

The public can share their views and proposals for polling districts from July 11 until August 1.

Representations can be made by email to elections@bolton.gov.uk or by post to The Elections Office, Bolton Council, Howell Croft North, Bolton BL1 1QY.
