The Local Offer
This section tells you about all the support available for you as a care leaver. We know that it is a big step when you move out of care and start living on your own or with friends.
Just because you are leaving care, or have already left care, we haven’t stopped caring about you. We want to make sure that you feel safe and supported and know where and who to go to for advice and help.
We will continue to listen to your views to make sure the services we offer are what you need.
Who we are
The Leaving Care Team is based at the Castle Hill Centre, Castleton Street, Bolton BL2 2JW.
We are made up of social workers and personal advisers, who will support you on your journey to independent living. All young people are allocated a Leaving Care worker, who could be a social worker or personal adviser.
We have a duty system where you can speak to someone if your worker isn't available. You can contact us on 01204 337376 from 8:45am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. In an emergency, outside of these hours, call the Emergency Duty Social Worker on 01204 337777.
The support we must give you by law
- A Personal Adviser/Social Worker
- Your right to be heard and taken seriously
