How much will you get
The amount of benefit is worked out by looking at:
- how much money you have coming in
- your personal circumstances
- the amount of rent you have to pay
- the amount of savings you have
- the type of landlord you have

Local Housing Allowance (LHA) Rates
If you rent from a housing association, we look at the rent you pay.
If you rent from a private landlord, LHA rates will apply.
