What we need from you
The quality and certainty of the advice that we can provide is dependent on the quality and accuracy of the information you submit and we will base our advice on the information that you provide us with.
To apply, you will need to supply the following documents in pdf format:
- a 1:1250 site location plan
- draft proposed floor plans and elevation drawings of proposal
- a covering letter or statement including:
- any analysis of or justification for the proposal that you have already carried out
- as much detail on the proposed use/development (including changes of use)
- whether there are particular issues that you would like the response to focus on
- for house extensions, colour photographs of potentially affected neighbouring dwellings showing window locations, where these are not publicly visible
Pre-application requests will be subject to a similar but simpler validation procedure as full planning applications, and pre-application requests that are submitted without the necessary documents will not be able to proceed until they are received. Our pre-application case officers will contact you if this is the case to avoid any unnecessary delays.
