With days to go Bolton Food and Drink Festival, in association with Aldi (24 – 27 August), is set for another fantastic music line-up.

Music lovers can enjoy some of Bolton’s finest bands and musicians at the Festival Stage on Le Mans Crescent and Real Ale Bar stage on Victoria Square.

Live music is on daily from around 11am until late Friday to Sunday, closing at 6pm on Monday.

Kickstarting the festival on Friday will be main stage headliners The Jade Assembly and Bolton four-piece indie rock band, Our Fold.

Warming up the stage from 6pm is under-hyped gem of the Manchester underground, Attic Doctors, and playing classic covers will be acoustic three-piece, Secret Lemonade Factory.

On the bill for Saturday is New Order tribute band, True Order, playing ahead of Saturday’s headliners, The Jam’d - currently reigning as the UK’s No.1 tribute band to The Jam.

Festival goers can enjoy the sounds of Nanukes of the North and Horse Opera in the lead up to this.

Top of the bill for Sunday is 80s funk band, The Beat Goes Bang, bringing old-school rhythm and vibes to Bolton’s town centre. Southern UK four-piece, The Traps, will also be performing from 7.45pm.

Ending the main stage on a high will be Toria Woof Band, Dr. Butlers Hatstand Medicine, The Shivers and Funked It Up, on stage from 1.45pm onward.

With around 40 acts confirmed for the Real Ale Bar Stage, the area will be vibrant across the entire weekend with great music, bringing visitors a host of new sounds and up-and-coming artists to dance along to.

The live music areas are free entry and no tickets are required.

Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr Linda Thomas, said: "Our festival has evolved over the last 13 years and the live music element has become a really important part of it.
“The line-up of live music over the four days has something to appeal to everyone. Last year was the first time we had a music stage on Le Mans and it was a real hit, and we’re sure it will be the same again.

“The stages also have seating areas to accommodate around 200 people each so there will be plenty of seating for everyone.”
