Star of Phoenix Nights and Shameless, Archie Kelly, will launch The Albert Halls’ new comedy club on Friday, December 15.

Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club will bring the best live stand-up comedians to Bolton in a series of performances at the refurbished venue.

Headliner Archie, who is best known for playing Kenny Senior in Phoenix Nights, has also appeared in Coronation Street, Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere and Emmerdale.

He will be joined by Colin Cole, Jay Handley and MC Damion Larkin.

There will be a special performance on New Year’s Eve – line-up to be confirmed – followed by shows in January and February 2018.

Audiences can expect to see comedians from TV shows Mock the Week, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Keith Lemon’s Celebrity Juice and Russell Howard’s Good News.

Tickets are £17.50 in advance or £21.50 on the door (£27.50/£31.50 for New Year’s Eve).

Doors open at 7.30pm for 8pm start, with resident bar available.

Archie Kelly is best known for playing ‘Kenny Senior’ in Channel 4′s ‘Phoenix Nights’. Further TV credits include ‘Max and Paddy’s Road To Nowhere’, ‘Coronation Street’, ‘Shameless’, ‘Emmerdale’ and ‘The Street’. He was also involved with the enormously successful ‘Jumping On The Bandwagon’ theatre stand-up tour with Paddy McGuinness.

Jay Handley meditates on single life in his 20s, finding love in his 30s, politics, religion and his bemusement at the modern world all in a trademark relaxed almost zen like laid back style. He is no less the funnier for it with big laughs throughout his set make you wish he was on stage for longer!

MC for the night is the incredible Damion Larkin, one of Britain’s most promising comedy talents, renowned for being a spontaneous and lovable host.
