Things are heating up for this year’s Bolton Food and Drink Festival as Ainsley Harriott joins James Martin as the second celebrity chef for 2024.

Ainsley harriottWell regarded as a one of the best chefs in the world, the national treasure will be making his fourth appearance at the UK’s biggest food and drink festival.

Over the years, the celebrity chef has created a variety of memorable moments for festival goers, including his hit sensation, the ‘Coconut and Mango’ song

Ainsley will be making his return to the festival's kitchen on Saturday 24 August for two scintillating cooking demonstrations at 11am and 1pm and will then be hosting a special Rum Fiesta event at 3:30pm.

Guests at this year’s demos will get to feast on a delicious Caribbean inspired dish whilst they watch Ainsley at work.

Brunch featuring tasty buttermilk pancakes with rum infused maple syrup alongside a banana, hazelnut and honey smoothie.

While lunch time guests will be treated to a twist on a local delicacy with a Carrs Pasties Jamaican jerk chicken pasty barm!

At the afternoon Rum Fiesta, where fans have the chance to explore the world of rum tasting, guests will enjoy a delightful rum cake with crème fraiche.

This year’s festival is due to come to the plate on Friday 23 August, providing a whole host of fun for four fantastic days before coming to an end on Monday 26 August.

The bank holiday weekend will be seasoned with free regional chef demos, children’s activities, live music and bars to artisan stalls, street entertainment and special events, including hilarious comedy dining experiences Faulty Towers and Sheer Luck Holmes.
