Public, private, voluntary and community sector partners came together to create a vision for how Bolton could look in 2030 at today’s Vision conference.

Leaders from Bolton’s public, private, faith, voluntary, education and community sector organisations met at the Albert Halls, to discuss their plans for the future with hundreds of delegates from across the town and beyond.

The conference built upon joint working between the public, private and community sectors and delegates were be able to participate in a series of discussions and workshops throughout the conference.

Those attending were asked to identify their strengths and assets, both as individuals and organisations and then think about how these strengths and assets could contribute to Bolton in 2030.

They were then asked to think about projects and services that can contribute to an active, connected and prosperous Bolton in 2030.

Delegates were also asked to link in and connect with a number of groups who had displays at the conference, including Bolton CVS, which supports local and voluntary groups, and Bolton Green Umbrella, which encourages people to take ownership of their local areas, through organising litter picks and educating people about the effects of littering.

Chair of the Vision Partnership, Dave Singleton said: “I am delighted with the ideas that came out of today’s Vision conference and with the level of enthusiasm, passion and commitment, which all our delegates have shown for developing a vision for Bolton in the future. I am looking forward to working with all our partners to make these ideas a reality for Bolton in 2030.”
