Bolton residents have been urged to stay safe following a Met Office weather warning for Friday, February 18.

Storm Eunice is forecast to hit the UK tomorrow with an Orange Warning for high winds in place from 5am to 9pm.

Transport for Greater Manchester have issued an update, advising drivers and public transport users against all but essential travel.

The Met Office has warned of flying debris and add that “roads, bridges and railway lines are likely to close”.

Bolton Council has specialist teams on standby to respond to fallen trees and to keep any disruption caused by debris on the roads to a minimum.
