Bolton Council has announced Cinderella as its Christmas panto for The Albert Halls.
It will be the first show to take place in the newly restored venue – the council invested £6.5m in sympathetically refurbishing the Albert Halls and artists are starting to flock back to the venue to perform their shows.
The panto will star former CBeebies presenter Katy Ashworth - making a welcome return to Bolton, after entertaining audiences at previous Bolton Food and Drink Festivals.
Joining her on stage will be X Factor star David Heath, comedian Aiden J Harvey and Bosom Buddies from Britain’s Got Talent.
The cast will re-enact the magical age-old fairy tale and watch while Cinders overcomes her wicked stepmother and stepsisters and go on to win the heart of the handsome prince charming with lots of fun and laughter along the way.
The panto will run from Saturday, December 2 until Saturday, December 31 with morning, matinee and evening performances on offer.
Tickets can be purchased from Quaytickets on 0843 2081851 or at www.quaytickets.com/boltonalberthalls
Deputy Leader of Bolton Council, Councillor Linda Thomas said: “The annual panto was always a highlight of our entertainment calendar and we are delighted to announce Cinderella will be the first production to take place in the restored Albert Halls.”
The show will be produced by New Pantomime Productions Ltd.
