Horwich Library is set to reopen to the public next week, following essential repair work to the building’s roof.

After weeks of work, the library doors will open at 9am on Monday November 1.

The building was closed in July with customers instead able to access books and other services at the pop-up facility in Horwich Community Centre.

Horwich Library opening times are:

  • Monday 9:00am - 5:30pm
  • Tuesday 9:00am - 7:00pm
  • Wednesday 1:00pm - 5:30pm
  • Thursday 9:00am - 7:00pm
  • Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
  • Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Sunday Closed

Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member with responsibility for Libraries, Cllr Hilary Fairclough, said:

“We know how valuable library services are to our local communities, which is why we made sure a pop-up facility was in place during this temporary closure.

“I’m sure residents will be delighted that the building is once again open to the public.

“I want to thank them for their patience while this essential work was carried out.”
