The service which provides equipment to help people with health problems to live independently is asking residents to return any unused items.

The Integrated Community Equipment Store, which is jointly funded by Bolton Council and Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, continues to operate as normal but is at risk of running low on some items.

Anyone with unused crutches, walking frames, trolleys or other items from the store can drop them off at Adelaide Depot in Adelaide Street (BL3 3NY).

Alternatively, collection can be arranged by calling 01204 337262 or 337060 or by emailing icesstore@bolton.gov.uk.

Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member for Adult Services, Cllr Andy Morgan, said:

“The Integrated Community Equipment Store provides valuable support for members of our community who otherwise might not be able to live independently.

“We are operating as normal but unfortunately some supply chain issues mean there is a chance we might run low on some of the equipment we need.

“If, for whatever reason, you have unused equipment from the store, please return it as soon as possible so it can be used to support residents in need.”
