Take a trip to the museum shop this December and shop for unique Christmas gifts.

The shop is stocked with ‘Bolton’ branded mugs, badges and tea towels. For the avid reader, there is a collection of books on Bolton and beyond.

‘Textiles by Murron’ is a limited-edition range of make-up bags, stationery and artwork, designed by Bolton University textiles graduate, Murron Fraser.

The shop’s stunning contemporary jewellery range by Just Trade supports sustainable Fair-Trade projects in Peru, Ecuador, Vietnam and India.

Animals lovers will go wild for the unique and fun pottery and hand painted garlands and the quirky range of knitted dinosaurs and elephants make a fun addition to any bedroom or nursery.

If you’re looking for last minute stocking fillers, there is also a wide range of small toys for sale.

As a Christmas treat, they are offering 10 per cent discount off any purchase until the end of December as well as free gift wrapping.

Cllr Hilary Fairclough, Executive Cabinet Member with responsibility for museums said: “The museum has a fantastic shop. It’s a lovely and calm place to enjoy some Christmas shopping and pick up something special.”

The shop is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm (Wednesdays open from 9.30am).

Two hours of free parking is available outside the museum on weekdays, Saturdays and Bank Holidays.
