If you have some time to spare and would like to support your local library and museum service, we can offer several great opportunities to volunteer. Volunteering will allow you to:
- learn new skills in a supportive environment
- gain useful work experience whilst helping others
- add to your CV - we will be happy to act as a reference in the future
- work towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award or a Youth Achievement Award

Details about the different roles can be found at Volunteer opportunities in the Library and Museum. Recruitment will occur three times annually, with new volunteers joining in March, June, and November.

Work Experience
We offer short placements for 14-16 year old students (term time only).
If you would like to be considered for a one week placement at one of our libraries or museums please apply by completing the Work Experience Application Form.
