See someone sleeping rough?
If you come across a rough sleeper, you can let us know confidentially by emailing housingoutreachteam@bolton.gov.uk or by telephoning the Housing Options team on 01204 335900.
Please provide us with as much information as you can. For example:
- Full name (if known)
- Exact location
- Estimated age / gender / ethnicity
- How long the person has been sleeping rough
- If they have any accomodation available to them or if they are currently known to any services
- If there are risks that we should be aware of (e.g. if the person is under the influence of alcohol)
Please don't approach the person if you don't feel comfortable.
During cold or severe weather, we will make every effort to secure additional emergency provisions for those sleeping rough.
You can also report a rough sleeper at www.streetlink.org.uk. The details you provide will be passed on to our Housing Options service.
