PUBLIC NOTICE OF CLOSURE OF ALEXANDRA MAINTAINED NURSERY SCHOOL, MARTHA STREET, BOLTON. BL3 4AD.
Notice is given in accordance with section 15(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Bolton Council, Department of Children’s Services, Town Hall, Bolton BL1 1 RU intends to make a prescribed alteration to Alexandra Maintained Nursery School, Martha Street, Bolton. BL3 4AD.
Following agreement between the school's Governing body and Bolton Council it is proposed to close Alexandra Maintained Nursery School with effect from 31st August 2023.
The proposed closure of Alexandra Maintained Nursery School is as a result of the financial viability of the nursery.

Explanatory Notes
There is sufficient capacity elsewhere locally, to enable existing nursery pupils to continue their education, either at local primary schools or with local private nursery providers.

On the 6th March 2023, at the Council's ECM, it was approved that Alexandra Maintained Nursery School will close at the end of this academic year., 2023. The last day of school will be 21st July 2023.
