Rites of Passage Exhibition
In 2023, local charity Precious Gems worked with 14 women to identify the important events in their lives and to record those they view as "Rites of Passage".
Through film, photographs and objects, this unique exhibition explores the women's experiences over time, capturing key moments, such as engagements, weddings, and first haircuts. The project was made possible with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
